✨ About the Role

Have you recently completed your DEC in Accounting, or do you have 1 to 3 years of experience in the field? Are you looking to grow in a dynamic and supportive environment where your development matters? This opportunity is for you.

We’re looking for an Accounting Intern to join our accounting team. Reporting to a Senior Accountant, you will assist with bookkeeping, prepare financial and tax reports, and support compilation engagements for both local businesses and international subsidiaries.

This role is ideal for someone starting their career and looking to build real, hands-on experience while being supported and coached by a team that cares about your success.

🛠 What You’ll Be Doing

  • Problem-Solving: Embrace the challenge of solving financial problems, whether it involves budget discrepancies, data analysis issues, or financial planning challenges. Enjoy identifying issues and proposing viable solutions.

  • Data Management: Have an interest in organizing and managing financial data, ensuring accuracy and accessibility. Enjoy utilizing software tools and systems for financial data entry, retrieval, and analysis.

  • Business Operations Understanding: Enjoy learning about the financial aspects of business operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Embrace the opportunity to understand how financial decisions impact the overall business strategy.

  • Team Collaboration: Thrive in a collaborative work environment, working closely with finance professionals and other departments. Enjoy communicating financial information effectively and collaborating on projects that require financial expertise.


Preferred qualifications and skills:

  • Extremely detail oriented;

  • Works in an organized manner;

  • Enjoys working with numbers;

  • Has a sound knowledge of Excel;

  • Possesses excellent written communication skills;

  • Knowledge of accounting software (SAGE 50) and (Quickbooks) would be considered an asset; and

  • Bilingualism would be considered a strong asset

  • A high degree of proficiency with MS Office products, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.

  • Builds credibility through high responsibility, responsiveness and reliability.
